RésuméNous étudions l'intérêt que présente, en clinique du syndrome autistique, l'utilisation de la « distance dans la relation ». Cet outil de recherche a été élaboré pour explorer la capacité des jeunes bébés, de repérage du fonctionnement psychique maternel à partir des échanges affectifs. Nous exposons le cas d'un nourrisson de deux ans présentant un syndrome autistique léger, avec hypersensibilité aux fluctuations de l'investissement maternel. L'enfant réagissait de manière catastrophique lorsque sa mère s'éloignait de lui en pensée. En termes de distance, ce retrait partiel d'investissement était équivalent à une perte de soutien maternel. Proposer au parent une telle reconstruction des événements interactifs peut l'aider à repérer la sensibilité de son enfant à son fonctionnement psychique et favoriser l'alliance thérapeutique.

We study the interest of in private clinic of the autistic syndrome the use of the "distance in the relation". This research tool served to explore infant capabilitie of maternal psychic operation recognition based on affective process. To propose to the parent such a rebuilding interactive events can help to locate it the sensitivity of his/her infant to his/her psychic operation and to support the therapeutic alliance.
