Surabondance des objets

RésuméUn certain nombre d'écrits récents observent une dérive du sujet, qu'ils expliquent par l'effondrement des pères, lui-même effet de la disparition des repères symboliques. Mais un autre point de vue est possible qui montrerait qu'il s'agit moins d'un changement de la structure du sujet qu'une évolution des représentations imaginaires que la société se donne d'elle-même. La multiplication des objets, voire leur surabondance, est l'axe que l'auteur suit pour montrer comment peuvent se construire de telles représentations qui sont décrites à travers des situations cliniques quotidiennes, la psychopathologie des conduites alimentaires – définies comme pathologie de saturation - et certaines formes de retour du religieux. Il apparaît enfin que les dénonciations du sujet postmoderne cachent souvent, derrière leur virulence, un plaidoyer inattendu pour le moi fort.
