Abstract
a) No differences in leptin and insulin levels were found between subjects with GHD and controls, matched for BMI values. b) A sexual dimorphism characterized by increased leptin levels in girls was evident from prepubertal age and persisted in GHD. c) The independent variables that predicted leptin concentrations were BMI and sex.
