Abstract
⺠Deficits in production of prosodic stress occur from lesions in either hemisphere. ⺠Left basal ganglia lesions and non-fluency predict prosodic stress deficits. ⺠Location of right hemisphere lesions is not predictive of prosodic stress deficits. ⺠Aprosodic deficits are not predictive of prosodic stress deficits. ⺠Aprosodic deficits, however, condition the acoustic signaling of prosodic stress
