Abstract
Vaginal evisceration is a very rare event, and is most frequently related to pelvic dysfunction and coitus. The greatest risk factors are: hypoestronism, the postmenopausal age, and previous pelvic dysfunction. The ideal management of this serious entity is by vaginal route, although depending on the state of the eviscerated organs.
