Abstract
Although the sample size was small, we found a poor correlation between the two tests. The high rate of false positive results (73%) could be due to the limitations of the optic system used to select spermatozoa. Even when the samples were assessed by the same operator, we used an objective evaluation method that minimized the verification bias. Evaluation of the impact of these results on embryo development and implantation and miscarriage rates is still pending.
