Abstract
In the present review work reference is made to the most important and most reported classifications of sexual disorders. Their study demonstrates that there are still many frayed edges to mend and some agreements to do so, until a consensus model is configured that covers the different conditions. All of this without forgetting that communication between professionals and carrying out prevalence studies are essential for the classifications. The reification must not lapse in clinical practice, that is to say, in adapting to any case, in any form whatsoever, to any of the established epigraphs, being the most important to determine what have been the predisposing and precipitating factors and those that maintain the process.
