Dispareunia

Dyspareunia is a very complex symptom that can be caused by a sexual dysfunction or a gynaecological disease. This paper does a revision of the causes of dyspareunia in women attending the classification of the localization that is a important point in the judgement of this entity. There is an important remark specially in new entities like vulvar vestibulitis, one of the main causes of superficial dyspareunia, this a typical example of neuropathic pain. As well there are indicated the most actual therapeutical patterns for this type of affections. The main goal of this revision is to give a useful instrument from the gynaecological clinic to the professionals of sexual medicine to face this problem.
