Abstract
The importance of gynecologists in the diagnosis of FSD secondary to menopause and of hypoestrogenism and hypoandrogenism in their onset and persistence is stressed. We also highlight the importance and impact of FSD on quality of life, as well as the reversibility of symptoms with estrogen and androgen therapy. From the point of view of the specialty of gynecology, a series of recommendations for the evaluation and prevention of alteration of sexual function in menopause are also provided.
