Abstract
By means of this opinion article, which was presented at the Third Parallel ASESA-SPA Symposium in the last ESSM Congress held in Lisbon, set out in sections: introduction and historic background until the present (Is there also a sex difference in health?, What can be done?, and, What should be the social and professional response to this evidence?), we will review, update and defend: a) the differences between the sexes as regards diseases, life expectancy and mortality, and b) and accordingly, the so-called Male Health Clinics. Concluding with that we need positive discrimination in the Health Services to deal specifically with males. This is by no means in conflict with health programmers who consider sexual and reproductive health as a subject in which men and women are involved, just as all professional associations defend so-called Sexual Medicine.
