Abstract
These three cases demonstrate that acute thrombosis after carotid stenting can be managed successfully with emergent surgical intervention. Thromboendarterectomy with stent removal or in selected cases, simple thromboembolectomy, can minimize neurologic sequelae in patients suffering from acute post-stenting carotid thrombosis.
