Abstract
Among patients admitted to hospital after an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest, 14% had a history of diabetes. These patients had a lower survival rate compared with those without diabetes, even after correcting for dissimilarities at baseline. It remains to be determined whether an early metabolic intervention in these patients will improve survival.
