Abstract
Acute myelopathy (AM) (or acute transverse myelitis) is characterised by motor, sensory, and autonomic dysfunction. Acute myelopathies are rare diseases. Rapid and precise diagnosis must differentiate idiopathic AM from AM that occur secondary to a known underlying disease. Identifying the cause of secondary MA is useful for specific treatment selection, whereas no clearly established medical treatment currently exists for idiopathic AM.
