Abstract
Recurrence after an initial ICH is not rare, and the most common pattern of recurrence is ganglionic-ganglionic. Whereas the functional outcome of recurrent ICH is unsatisfactory, the 1-year survival rate is not necessarily low. Intraventricular hemorrhage on computed tomography scans is an important predictor of both ICH recurrence and the 1-year case-fatality rate in patients with recurrent ICH.
