Abstract
Explaining the link between smoking and cervical cancer increases intentions to stop smoking in women receiving abnormal cervical smear test results. Further studies are needed to determine how self-efficacy can be increased and whether, in addition to the detailed leaflet, this increases rates of smoking cessation.
