Abstract
Sinus floor elevation technique with osteotomes, through maxillary alveolar crest, was described by Summers in 1994. This technique, which seems less invasive at first sight, meets a large success and is a real option with classic maxillary sinus floor bone grafting through lateral antrostomy. To reduce the failure rate due to mucous membrane perforation during osteotomy, authors have imagined stop sinus osteotomes. They are going to show some technical refinements to perform this surgical operation and to reach more security.
