Abstract
The results show that statistically significant changes in the transverse width and angulation between proximal segments occur in patients undergoing bilateral sagittal split ramus osteotomy for mandibular setback with rigid fixation. However, the magnitude of the changes was small, and it is still uncertain as to whether these changes are of any clinical significance.
