Abstract
Mycetoma is a rare and little-known pathology in Tunisia. This paper presents 13 observations gathered over 13 years (seven actinomycosic mycetoma and six fungium). All the patients presented traditional lesions: fistulated tumefactions, located on the foot in seven cases. 12 patients presented grains (white in six cases, black in four cases and yellow in two cases). The causal agent was identified seven times: Actinomadura madurae (3 times), Madurella mycetomatis (3 times) and Pseudallescheria boydii (1 time). After medical and/or surgical treatment, all the patients showed improvement in the short term.
