Abstract
The major indications for transplant in the pediatric age group are hematological malignancy, immunodeficiency, thalassemia, aplastic anemia and some metabolic disorders. Improvements in supportive care have led to significant reduction in morbidity and mortality. In addition to severe, prolonged myelosuppression, regime related toxicity, graft versus host disease (GVHD), CMV pneumonitis and relapse are main complications seen after SCT.
