Abstract
The International Headache Society (IHS) divides headache into two categories: primary and secondary headache disorders. Secondary headaches are attributed to another disorder. In primary headache disorders the headaches include Migraine, tension type headache and cluster headache. Headache prevalence is age dependent. The first step in establishing a headache diagnosis is a complete history. The therapy of acute Migraine Headache has transformed the image of headache in our minds. As the therapeutic drug options for headache are expanding and as physicians we have a wide range of drugs. It is important to focus on individual patients need before choosing a drug. This review gives a Stratified approach to the treatment of acute migraine headache.
