Abstract
Pulmonary embolism, though rare in children and adolescents, is a very serious cause of chest pain and should not be missed or misdiagnosed. This article reviews pulmonary embolism in pediatric and adolescent patients, focusing in particular on recognition and diagnostic evaluation.
