Abstract
Diagnosis of cervicarthrosis myelopathy will be evoked in front of repeated falls or a progressive trouble at walk associated or not with neurological disorders touching upper limbs. The association of a sensitive component is essential to eliminate for example an amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. In the two pathological situations, treatment is initially medical and the gerontological evaluation is an essential precondition to the decision of a neurosurgical intervention of decompression with rather good results (75% cure) in the narrow lumbar canal and more moderated in the narrow cervical canal. In this last entity, more than one patient on two must continue a long course of medical treatment after the surgery.
