Abstract
The β-lactamase production pattern was examined from several clinical isolates at Saint Camille medical Center of Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso. The aim of this research was to find the optimal experimental conditions increasing the periplasmic level of β-lactamase, and then maximize the yield of extraction for furthur studies. The growth span and the concentration of inducer imipenem were both explored. The current results strongly suggest the necessity of taking into account both the growth span and inducer concentration for future production yielding. These results enlight for each isolate, the existence of suitable combination: growth span/ inducer concentration that allows the summit of the interest of β-lactamase activity.
