Abstract
Eczemas a series of diseases which, although they have a very different etiology and pathogeny are grouped under this denomination; their histology is common and they share fundamental clinical manifestations. Due to their high prevalence, they are a reason for frequent visits to the family doctor. The most important clinical pictures: irritative contact eczema, allergic contact eczema and atopic eczema or atopic dermatitis, as well as some other also frequent clinical forms such as numular eczema, dishydrotic eczema, stasis eczema or photoinduced eczemas may often be solved within Primary Health Care, and when this is not possible, accurate knowledge about these conditions by the family doctor would facilitate referral to the dermatologist at the adequate time as well as their follow-up.
