Abstract
The impact of stressors upon some metabolic and endocrine parameters differs when the gonad is present and in the follicular vs. luteal phase. However, a high vs. low sex steroid milieu did not alter the metabolic response, as assessed by leptin levels, in response to the stressor of fasting.
