Abstract
Hand-assisted laparoscopy may be employed in the initial management of early and advanced stage ovarian carcinoma. This approach allows for thorough evaluation of peritoneal and retroperitoneal structures and surgical cytoreduction while retaining the advantages of minimally invasive surgery.
