Abstract
Discussion and conclusion. - Our data show ultrasonographic evaluation of the fetal nuchal translucency thickness at the first trimester is actually indispensable. Neonatal outcome and malformation rate in fetuses with increased nuchal translucency or cystic hygroma are different, even with normal karyotype.
