Abstract
Close clinical follow-up and hysteroscopy with biopsy when symptoms are present (metrorrhagia, spotting, staining or leukorrhea) are required. Transvaginal ultrasonography is advisable before starting treatment and hysteroscopy should be performed when endometrial disease is suspected. We encourage annual hysteroscopy in high-risk women. A randomized trial of women undergoing ultrasonographic monitoring and hysteroscopy when disease is suspected versus those undergoing clinical follow-up and hysteroscopy when symptoms are present should be performed.
