Abstract
A review of the literature reveals that all studies have found intracervical anesthesia to be beneficial in outpatient hysteroscopy, emphasizing the importance of patient selection. Our study supports these conclusions and additionally reports the advantage of the use of a dental syringe, which allows adequate analgesia and better patient tolerance, as well as economic savings in comparison with general anesthesia.
