Abstract
This chapter provides an overview of factors important from a patient's perspective during a visit to the mammography department, with emphasis on the effects to clinical practice, as well as discussion of what helps the radiologist in the interpretation of both screen film and digital mammograms. Identification of adjustments and changes necessary in the transition to digital imaging is provided in addition to descriptions of additional and special views. Explanations of methods to image the difficult body habitus are also covered.
