Abstract
Despite well-known difficulties encountered in vitrectomized eyes such as zonular damage, increased mobility of the lens-iris diaphragm, and altered intraocular fluid dynamics, the incidence of intraoperative complication rates is similar to nonvitrectomized eyes in the hands of an experienced surgeon.
