Abstract
Intravitreal injection of triamcinolone acetonide is an effective treatment of ME. Its best indications seem to be diabetic, pseudophakic and inflammatory ME. Randomized clinical trials are warranted to assess long-term efficacy and safety of this treatment modality of ME.
