Abstract
Achilles tendon rupture associated with an ankle fracture is a rare injury. We present a case of 42-year-old lady who fell sustaining a fracture of the medial malleolus of her left ankle. She was treated non-operatively with plaster immobilisation. She had an associated Achilles tendon rupture, which was missed. The ruptured Achilles tendon was identified 3 months after her initial injury and was successfully treated.
