Abstract
Rhythmic gymnastics requires a high degree of muscular and tendinous flexibility and extensibility. An evaluation of hip joint range of motion, and in particular hip extension, was found to be useful for the surveillance of the spine in these high-level athletes whose hip joint range of motion must be maintained with regular exercises.
