Abstract
A view of the wide field which the use of isokinetics has as an objective tool to assess muscle function and its possibilities as a clinical tool is shown. We provide a brief reference of its recent history to then analyze the data that may be obtained and the interpretation of these. We finish with the schematic presentation of its application according to the different joints.
