Abstract
During annual epidemics as well as pandemics, Influenza in children is a proven reality. In a public health point of view, the major facts are the role of children as vectors in transmission, a high morbidity rate inducing hospitalization, and relative diagnosis difficulties (rapid testing at the bed side could be interesting in children). As in adults, Influenza vaccination is the major tool for prevention. Several authors are in favor of an enlargement of vaccine policy with a demonstrated collective benefit. The reasonable use of antineuraminidases treatment would be especially useful during pandemics.
