Abstract
The term 'conduct disorders' refers to aggressive, destructive and disruptive behaviours in childhood that are serious and likely to impair a child's development. Examples include repeatedly hitting other children, breaking household items and refusal to obey rules. This article covers the prevalence, causes, assessment and treatment of these disorders in children.
