Accurate diagnosis and staging are essential for appropriate management of patients with pancreatic cancer. This paper reviews the state of the art for imaging modalities in the diagnosis and staging of pancreatic adenocarcinoma. The crucial role of CT has increased with the new generation of multidetector CT.
