Abstract
Finally, in the early detection of colorectal carcinoma in the elderly, the only evidence found was from expert panels and studies combining colonoscopy and the presence of occult blood in feces. All the evidence suggests that, in the next few years, sufficient data supporting the utility of early detection of the most frequent types of cancer in the elderly will become available.
