Abstract
Let Î and Î be artin algebras and UÎÎ a faithfully balanced selforthogonal bimodule. We show that the U-dominant dimensions of UÎ and UÎ are identical. As applications of the results obtained, we give some characterizations of the double U-dual functors preserving monomorphisms and being left exact respectively.
