Abstract
We give a partial answer to the problem of computing the numerical index of lp-space 1 < p < â. Also, we give an estimate of the numerical index of the two-dimensional real space lp2, 1 < p < â. For the lp-space, we show that its numerical index is greater than the lp-space one.
