Abstract
In this paper, optimal fuzzy control of a poisoning-pest model is considered. Optimal control has been successfully applied to many biological models. We give a rule-based fuzzy control for the poisoning-pest model. By using the Pontryagin Minimum Principle, the optimal fuzzy control function can be worked out by a computer with the membership function of the fuzzy sets of the universe of discourse. The control parameters of the poisoning-pest model will be suitable for practical applications.
