Abstract
This paper presents the differential model of in-cylinder pressure in an internal combustion engine. For this purpose, the compression stroke analyzed and Fourier law used to modelling the cylinder pressure. An unknown function appears in the coefficient of this equation. This unknown function is approximated by cubic B-spline. To estimate unknown parameters, the modified Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm is used. The numerical solution of the direct problem is used to simulate pressure measurement.
