Abstract
We provide a combinatorial proof for the coincidence of Knuth equivalence classes, Kazhdan-Lusztig left cells and Vogan classes for the symmetric group, involving only Robinson-Schensted algorithm and the combinatorial part of the Kazhdan-Lusztig cell theory.
