Abstract
Partly methylated and/or acetylated oligogalacturonates were recovered after enzymatic hydrolysis of sugar beet pectin and purified by chromatographic means. Structural assignments were performed by ESI-IT MSn. A tentative mapping of the distribution of acetyl and methyl esters within sugar beet homogalacturonans is proposed.
