Abstract
The miscibility evaluation of polyisobutylene/paraffin systems, denominated PIB/paraffin 1 and PIB/paraffin 2, through the spin-lattice relaxation times of 1H in laboratory (T1H) and rotating frame (T1ÏH) were carried out using the classic inversion-recovery pulse sequence and delayed contact time (DCT) experiment, respectively. The T1H values were also measured in a low magnetic field (20Â MHz), using the inversion-recovery pulse sequence to compare with the data obtained in a high field, in order to use the low magnetic field as a tool to obtain rapidly the response of this parameter behavior. All nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) measurements showed that the PIB/paraffin systems present homogeneity and a good interaction between both components. Comparing the T1ÏH values for both systems, the PIB/paraffin 2 presents better homogeneity.
