Abstract
Ionic liquids containing 2,3-dimethyl-1-octylimidazolium (DMOIm+) cation and BF4-, PF6-, CF3SO3-, N(CF3SO2)2− anions have been synthesized and incorporated in different polymers to obtain polymer electrolytes which show conductivity over a wide range (10−3-10−6 S/cm). Polymer electrolytes containing polyvinylideneflouride-hexafluoropropylene (PVdF-HFP)in DMOImCF3SO3 show maximum conductivity in the 20-120 °C temperature range which is only an order of magnitude lower than for the neat ionic liquid (10−2 S/cm).
