Abstract
Dy3+ doped potassium fluorophosphate (KFP: 50P2O5-20KH2PO4-10ZnO-10AlF3-10KF (in mol%)) glass matrices and also Dy3+ co-doped with Eu3+ above glass matrices have been prepared. These glass matrices were characterized by their optical properties and visible luminescence spectra were recorded for the transitions 4F9/2â6H15/2 and 4F9/2â6H13/2 of Dy3+ ion and 5D0â7FJ (J = 1,2,3 and 4) transitions of Eu3+ ions. The CIE - color coordinates of Dy3+ doped and Dy3+/Eu3+ co-doped glasses have been analyzed. These observations reveals that the co-doped glass (0.3 Dy3+/3.0Eu3+) may be useful for white light applications.190
