Abstract
The present paper deals with the description of the binary systems containing a surfactant in water as a solvent using the two-point scaling hypothesis. In particular, the phase transition in the decyltrimethylammonium bromide (C10TAB)/water mixtures is considered. The presented analysis shows that the two-point scaling approach is well applicable to fit the experimental results. The shape of the obtained curves for partial and apparent molar heat capacities allow us to conclude that the observed dependence corresponds to a first order structural phase transition.
