Abstract
New bound-free spectra of the K233Πg(v,J)âa3Σu+ and 43Σg+(v,N)âa3Σu+ transitions have been observed with the perturbation facilitated optical-optical double resonance experimental technique. Our analysis has led to a conclusion that the vibrational assignments of the 33Πg and 43Σg+ ro-vibrational terms observed in Kim et al. [J. Chem. Phys. 102 (1995) 6646] have to be corrected. New potential energy functions of the K2 33Πg state, the 43Σg+ state, and of the a3Σu+ state repulsive branch are proposed.
